Your information

Privacy and your reading

This page describes the current Padel Oracle reading and Stories experience. Updated 12 October 2026.

Your question stays with you

The website has no box for the words of your question. You choose a direction, or choose “Something else is asking”. In either case, the words of your question stay private. The website reading is assembled on your device from written material; it does not send your question to a generative AI service.

What your browser remembers

This tab remembers your last completed reading so you can return to it while exploring. It also keeps a Stories trail and featured-story history to vary what you encounter. These records use browser session storage and page history and are not uploaded by the reading or Stories features. An unfinished draw is not saved across a page reload. Browser session restoration may retain session storage.

The entrance also remembers which of its two artworks appeared last, using local storage. It holds an artwork identifier, not your reading. You can remove these records through your browser’s site-data controls. Clearing them removes the remembered reading and browsing trail.

When you share a reading

A reading link contains the three cards, their Light, Shadow or Both choices, your chosen direction and the information needed to reproduce the result. Anyone who can open that link can see the reading. Your unentered question is not included. The reading portion follows the # in the URL and is not sent as part of the page request, but a service you deliberately share the link with may receive the complete link.

Services involved in opening the site

Netlify hosts this website and processes the requests needed to deliver it, including connection and device information. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives the requests needed to deliver them. Optional Google Analytics is described below. We do not enable advertising personalisation.

If you take the optional prompt to an AI assistant, that conversation is handled by the service you choose under its own terms. Following an external reference also takes you to a separate service.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, page views and actions such as completing a reading, following a story or copying the AI prompt. Google processes information about your browser, device and use of the website. Our tracking events do not include your chosen direction, cards, Light/Shadow choices, reading text or encoded reading links. We send page addresses without query strings or fragments.

Analytics is off until you accept. You can reject it and continue using the whole experience. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice at any time. Rejecting stops further measurement from this website and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already sent. Your consent choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days. Clearing site data also removes your choice.

Google describes its processing in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Email and contact

Newsletter signup is not open, and there is no subscriber form. If you email us, your message and address are handled by email services so we can respond. Please share only the detail needed for your enquiry.
